Watford Area Humanists Officers

 

The Officers are ex-officio Members of the Management Committee and may co-opt up to three local Members who are committed to Humanism on to the Management Committee.

 

John Dowdle

President

  • Take the chair at Management Committee meetings and Annual General Meetings.
  • Liaise with other Management Committee Members and outside bodies.
  • Check draft Minutes and Agendas.

Ruth Atkin

Vice-President

  • Assist the President and act as deputy when the President is unable to be present at meetings.

Ian Lowery

Secretary

  • Give Notice of Meetings.
  • Prepare Agenda for all Management Committee meetings.
  • Attend Management Committee meetings and produce Minutes for the meetings.
  • Keep a Register of Members and Members' Interests.
  • Produce all record books of the Watford Area Humanists when required to do so.
  • Organise occasional mailings to Members.

Derek  Foster

Treasurer

  • Open and maintain a bank account in the name of the Watford Area Humanists.
  • Keep proper accounts of income and expenditure, and report on them when required to do so by the Management Committee.
  •  Sign all cheques with one other Member nominated by the Management Committee.
  • Collect subscriptions and receive income and funds on behalf of the Watford Area Humanists.
  • Present accounts for approval at the Annual General Meeting.
